When Governor Robert Bentley created the Alabama Health Insurance Exchange Study Commission, he stated his desire was for a state run exchange because he says the plan presented by the federal government would not be run by Alabama.  The governor also said that Utah's exchange was not accepted by the federal government.

Kettle Campaign

Kettle bell ringers are at 13 businesses in Montgomery taking your donations to the Salvation Army.  Captain Mark Gillam runs the Montgomery office and he says the organization's reach goes beyond helping the homeless.  Volunteers will be at locations in Autauga and Elmore counties starting Friday.  

ASU Game Day

A swell of tailgaters with their grills, music and RVs are expected for the 89th annual Turkey Day Classic game.  School officials have set aside locations for students, corporate sponsors, RVs and tents.  Interim athletic director Melvin Hines said 100 tent tailgaters will be allowed on the academic mall and those with larger set-ups will be on the band practice field starting Thursday morning.  The last day to register for tent, RV and vehicle tailgating is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20th.
