Uber Gets the Green Light in Montgomery

Montgomery City Council has voted to allow ride hailing companies such as Uber to begin operating within the city.  Multiple media outlets report city council approved the ordinance during a Tuesday night meeting. Ride-hailing services such as Uber let people use smartphone apps to book and pay for rides.  Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange says he expects the decision to attract young people and businesses to the city.
