Three Lives Lost During Weekend Traffic Accidents

Three people were killed in traffic accidents in the area over the weekend.  Most recently, a three-vehicle crash claimed the live of a Montgomery man.  State Troopers say 20 year-old Michael Jeffrey Bonner was killed when the car he was driving collided with an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck.  The wreck apparently took place on U.S. Highway 82 yesterday, about eight miles east of Maplesville.

Another young man died in a crash in Lowndes County.  Troopers report that 19-year-old Deondre Goldsmith of Fort Deposit was fatally injured when his vehicle ran off County Road 45 and struck a utility pole around 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Earlier Saturday evening an accident on Interstate 65 proved fatal.  Authorities say an SUV crashed on I-65 about 14 miles north of Prattville.  A child in the vehicle was killed.  Trooper say the girl, whose age was not given, was not using a seat belt and was ejected from the SUV.  The 31-year-old female driver was taken to a local hospital.
