Three Killed in Separate Shootings

2016 has gotten off to a violent start in Montgomery.  This past weekend was no exception with at least three people shot to death in separate incidents.  The city's Public Safety Director, Chris Murphy talked to WVAS News about the rash of incidents.  Chris Murphy says murders resulting from heated emotions are frustrating for the police department.  Montgomery police had an 86 percent solve rate for murders last year.  There have been five homicides so far in 2016.
