Tax Credit Fight

The two sides involved in a legal squabble over a controversial state law that allows school tax credits are gearing up for the appeals process.  On Wednesday, Montgomery County Circuit Judge Gene Reese ruled the Alabama Accountability Act is unconstitutional.  Attorneys representing state officials and two families that use the law filed a request Thursday for the judge to put the ruling on hold while they appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court.  Democratic state Senator Quinton Ross of Montgomery said the judge made the proper ruling.  Senator Ross said he's cautiously optimistic that a higher court will uphold the ruling.
