Activists are asking a court to dismiss a $30 million slander suit filed by the owners of a huge landfill in Alabama. The American Civil Liberties Union filed court documents for the four Perry County residents saying they are only exercising their First Amendment rights in complaining about Arrowhead Landfill. The Georgia-based landfill owners sued in April claiming they're being slandered by protests over 4 million tons of coal ash shipped to the landfill after a spill in Tennessee.
