Severe Weather Possible in Central Alabama

The weather bears watching this week, especially Tuesday.  Meteorologists are predicting thunderstorms associated with the incoming cold front.  We should get mostly rain Monday and Monday night, but severe storms could emerge Tuesday.  Things could change, but forecasters say confidence is highest for storms to move through central Alabama in the late afternoon and early evening Tuesday, before finally moving out early Wednesday morning. The severe weather threat runs the gamut.  Tornadoes are possible, along with straight line winds, large hail and flash flooding.  Resident should monitor the weather situation as it develops over the next 48 hours.
