New Food Vendor Chosen By Alabama State University

   The Alabama State University Board of Trustees has approved a contract with a new food vendor. The board voted yesterday to contract with the Aramark Corporation which has its headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The current contract with Gourmet Food Services was not renewed and is set to expire May 31^st. Board members did not specify why Aramark was chosen from five companies that were considered. A committee had reviewed the five vendors, including Gourmet Food Services, and made a recommendation to ASU’s President, who reportedly took that recommendation to the board. Aramark will take over June First.
