MPD Charge Montgomery Man with Attempted Murder

Montgomery Police have charged 25-year-old Kendrick Devonta Williams with attempted murder in connection with Thursday's shooting that left a man with life-threatening injuries.  Police say the shooting happened Thursday at the intersection of Highland and Charles Avenue.  Authorities say 34-year-old Sequarras Bishop was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Williams is being on a $30,000 bond at the Montgomery County Jail.  

City Worker Dies

Officials say a Dothan city worker died on the job after telling colleagues he felt ill.  The Dothan Eagle reports it's still unclear why 29-year-old Matt Fair, a city utility worker, died Thursday.  A Houston County Coroner said Fair was found unresponsive by coworkers at the city public services complex Thursday morning not long after he complained that he didn't feel well.  The coroner said an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.  

Hubble Anniversary

Huntsville's space community marked the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Hubble space telescope.  Former Hubble project manager Jim Odom spoke Friday about the project at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville.  Hubble was launched on April 24, 1990.
