Monday is Last Day to Register to Vote in Alabama

   Today is the last day to register to vote in this year’s general election. To do so, residents with a valid, government-issued photo I.D., such as a driver’s license can go to the secretary of state’s website, alabamavotes.gov and do it electronically. You can also go by your county’s Board of Registrars. Mailing in an application is also an option, but it must be postmarked with today's date. Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill says the number of registered voters is currently about 3.3 million, up about 500,000 since the last gubernatorial election.
