Family and friends say Bob Gambacurta apparently suffered a stroke and collapsed in his kitchen. Gambacurta had been a mainstay on television and radio for decades in the Capital City. He was a reporter for WSFA at one time and also a columnist for the Montgomery Independent. He had also served as press secretary for former Governor Fob James in his career. Gambacurta was 71.
