Investigation continues into Two Deadly Accidents

Accidents in the tri-county area Thursday claimed two lives.  Around 8:45 Thursday morning two vehicles collided at the corner of Atlanta Highway and Taylor Road.  A passenger in one of the cars was killed.  She's been identified by police as 77-year-old Jeanette Alcorn of Montgomery.  A driver also received life-threatening injuries, but that person's name has been released.  Investigators are working to determine the cause of both the crashes.

Later that afternoon, a 54-year-old woman was killed in a Millbrook wreck.  Police say the three-vehicle pile-up happened in the 2500 block of Highway 14.  They say it appears a vehicle traveling westbound crossed over into eastbound traffic.  Investigators have not said what led to the accident but alcohol was reportedly not a factor.  Other injuries in the crash were not considered serious.  No names have been made available.
