Gasoline Prices Increase Statewide

Montgomery, Alabama –
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gasoline prices across Alabama jumped 14
cents in the past four weeks, but remain well below last year's
prices.
A survey by AAA Alabama Monday showed the average statewide
price for regular was $1.95 a gallon.
The national average was $2.05.
The auto club said midgrade fuel averaged $2.08 and premium cost
$2.14 a gallon.
A survey of metro prices finds Huntsville with the highest price
for regular at $1.96. The lowest average was found in Birmingham at
a $1.93 a gallon
