Ethics Investigation

There are indications the Alabama Ethics Commission has begun the process of investigating complaints against Governor Robert Bentley and his senior political adviser Rebekah Caldwell Mason.  State auditor Jim Zeigler forwarded the complaints last week after fired ALEA Secretary Spencer Collier accused the governor may have misused state property if there was an affair in or around Bentley's office.  The governor and Mason have denied having an affair.  The auditor is reported to have received a letter from the Commission's general counsel informing him that case numbers were given to the complaints and that a special agent would be assigned to the case.
