Birmingham Woman Charged with Murder

A 36-year-old woman who police say fatally shot her boyfriend over an argument about his ex-girlfriend has been formally charged.  Birmingham police announced a capital murder warrant against Michelle Horn.  Al.com reports that the shooting occurred Tuesday outside the couple's apartment.  Birmingham police officials say authorities were dispatched to the scene and found 27-year-old Charles Burchfield  dead on the ground near the couple's unit.  Officials say the shooting stemmed from an argument the couple had about Burch's ex-girlfriend.  Horn has been booked at Birmingham City Jail, awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail.
