The Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition is Holding Workshops This Week to Promote Biodiesel

Montgomery, AL – (AP) - The Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition is
holding workshops this week in north Alabama to promote biodiesel.
The free three-hour workshops will be in Scottsboro on Tuesday,
Madison on Wednesday and Jasper on Thursday to help educate Alabama
citizens about the benefits of alternative fuels. The workshops
also will give out information on grants and other financial
incentive programs available to cities, schools and companies
wanting to convert their vehicles to biodiesel.
Hoover has the largest police department in the country using
biodiesel with 187 vehicles powered by the blend of petroleum
diesel and animal or vegetable fats and oils. The city also has
about 85 percent of its cars running on biodiesel.
