Young Mother Dies in Jemison Shooting

Police say the 24-year-old woman who was shot at a small-town Alabama doctor's office has died, and the gunman was her husband.  Jemison police chief Shane Fulmer says the couple lived near the doctor's office and had a dispute Monday morning.  The 26-year-old man was found at his home with a gunshot wound to his head, was taken to the hospital and was expected to be charged.

An Alabama man has pleaded guilty to shooting another man in the back multiple times at a party.  Treble McCall of Autaugaville pleaded guilty to murder for the March 2014 death of Dandrell Harris of Montgomery.  

Tax Deadline

The clock is ticking for procrastinators as the April 15th Tax deadline is looming.  People who got help paying for health insurance under President Obama's law are seeing the direct effect on their refunds, hundreds of dollars, for better or worse.  The tax preparation company H&R Block reported that 52 percent of its customers who got health insurance subsides owned money back.  Repayments averaged $530.  

ASU Tennis

Congratulations are in order to the Men's Tennis team at Alabama State University for capturing the SWAC Championship.  The ASU Tennis squad beat Jackson State 4-2 on Sunday to win the school's first conference title and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.  ASU Tennis Coach Anuk Christiansz was named SWAC Coach of the Year.
