November 14,2008 – Alabama congressman Artur Davis is up in arms over a panel formed by the Alabama Democratic Party to recommend federal appointees for President- elect Barack Obama. Davis says the panel has no legitimacy, but party officials disagree.

Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore says he is considering making a run for the Governor's Office. Speaking in a recent newspaper interview, Moore said he has not made specific plans, but has not given up on the idea of running for governor.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a single engine plane crash near the Tuscaloosa Airport. The crash occurred Thursday afternoon. Four people on board survived the crash suffering non-life threatening injuries.

The tri-county weather forecast calls for clouds and thunderstorms this afternoon. There is an 80 percent chance of rain with the high peaking around 80 degrees. Tonight, the rain is expected to continue with the low reaching 57 degrees. Saturday, expect a 40 percent chance of rain with a high only reaching the upper 50s with lows Saturday night around 38 degrees.
