President Elect Barack Obama prepares to speak to the nation via his first news conference since Tuesday. WVAS news will carry his comments live beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The Montgomery Police Officer injured in a robbery shooting Wednesday remains in stable condition this morning. Meanwhile, three of the suspects in the robbery are charged with murder in connection with the death of a fellow robbery suspect.
