Skeletal Remains

Authorities have identified skeletal remains found in a wooded area last January as 23-year-old Edward Cortera Barnes of Montgomery.  Autauga County Sheriff Herbie Johnson told the Montgomery Advertiser that the case is being investigated as a homicide.  Investigators say the man's body had been lying in the woods for at least a year when it was found.  Authorities have not released details on the cause of Barnes' death.  Sheriff Johnson is asking for help from the public for information leading to the arrest of Barnes' attacker.
