Alabama health officials say a cluster of respiratory illnesses in southeast Alabama has increased to 10, but they are closing their investigation.  State Health Officer Dr. Don Williamson said the cases are unrelated and all have reasonable explanations.  Health officials found no evidence of new or unexpected viruses or bacteria. 

Hurricane Emergency Preparedness

Governor Robert Bentley has kicked off Hurricane Emergency Preparedness Week with a seminar and workshop at the Alabama Emergency Management Agency's headquarters in Clanton.  Bentley said Thursday getting ready for hurricane season is an educational process. 

Two Brothers Fatally Stabbed

Police in Huntsville have identified two brothers who were fatally stabbed at a church in Huntsville.  Authorities say 76-year-old Anthony Jackson and his 69-year-old brother, Terry, were stabbed at the West Huntsville United Methodist Church Tuesday morning.  Huntsville police said a knife was found on the scene and information on the circumstances surrounding the attack was not available.
