AT&T announced Wednesday the telecommunications company will create 350 new jobs statewide as part of a $1.4 billion dollar upgrade to its wireless networks.  AT&T President Hugh McCallum said 4G LTE mobile services soon will be available in Montgomery.  The service has already debut in Birmingham, Mobile and Auburn-Opelika. 

Fatal Accident

A Montgomery woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.  According to police, 47-year-old Clara Denise Hart died when the SUV she was driving overturned in the 3700 block of Covered Bridge Drive.   The accident occurred just after 7:30 Wednesday morning.  It was the city's seventh traffic fatality this year. 

AdvancED Announcement

A team of nine educators with the firm AdvancED announced Wednesday that it will recommend system-wide accreditation for Montgomery Public Schools.  The AdvancED team released its report following three days of visits and interviews with staff, students and members of the community.  The accreditation for MPS would cover a five-year period.  Schools Superintendent Barbara Thompson said she was pleased with the report.
