An early morning shooting spree at a Montgomery nightclub is under investigation.  Montgomery police aren't releasing many details.  But police say several people were injured when gunshots were fired inside the Rose Supper Club on Highland Avenue.  The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. The number of people who were treated for gunshot wounds and the nature of their injuries has not been available. 

Recovery Audits

Alabama's cash-strapped government could soon have nearly $5 million dollars it wasn't expecting.  A state law lets the state government pursue recovery audits for money overpaid or paid in error to companies that do work for the state.  The law's sponsor, Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh, says the first claim involving Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is nearly complete and it has turned up more than $4.8 million dollars that should be repaid to the state. 

Farmers Federation

The 91st Annual Meeting of the Alabama Farmers Federation continues today in Montgomery.  The meeting began Sunday with the opening of exhibits and remarks from Governor Robert Bentley to the organization.  Communications Director for the Federation Jeff Helms says the U.S. Farm Bill will be among the top subjects discussed at today's general session.  The meeting wraps up tonight at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center with keynote speaker, political strategist Karl Rove.

National Championship

Alabama and Notre Dame will play in the BCS national championship game on January 7th in Miami.  The final Bowl Championship Series standings were revealed last night, and to no one's surprise, the Fighting Irish were first and Alabama was second.  Alabama is shooting for its second straight national title and third in four seasons.
