Police agencies in Alabama and Tennessee are searching for links in the deaths of five adults and an 18-month-old boy whose bodies were found in four separate locations.

The discovery of the six bodies in two days presented a puzzling case for authorities.  The mystery began Monday, where police found a 22-year-old woman, 18-month-old son, and a 21-year-old woman dead in a house near Fayetteville, Tenn., near the Alabama line.  A 3-year-old was spared.  The father of the 3-year-old was found dead over the state line in Alabama, and a man believed to be an acquaintance was shot to death in Huntsville.
