Tuskegee Shooting

Authorities in Macon County say a 16-year-old boy involved in a drive-by shooting last month at a Tuskegee apartment complex turned himself in Thursday.  Tuskegee police said 16-year-old Davorius Ferrell faces five counts of attempted murder in connection with the September 23rd shooting at Capricorn Apartments.  Macon County Chief Deputy District Attorney Damon Lewis said Ferrell will be charged as an adult.

Two Jefferson County men, 18-year-old Jeffery Howe and 20-year-old Dominique Smith each face a felony murder charge in connection with Monday's night triple-fatal crash in Birmingham that killed a young couple and their infant daughter.  Howe and Smith were formally charge Thursday.  Birmingham police said the men were involved in an armed robbery and were fleeing from law enforcement officers at the time of the deadly crash on a Birmingham street.

More Layoffs?

Lanes Closures

State Highway officials remind motorists that crews will be doing resurfacing work this weekend on Interstate 85 service roads near downtown Montgomery.  Department of Transportation employees will close lanes on Arba Street and South Street beginning this evening at 6 p.m. through Sunday at 6 p.m.  Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
