Two Children and Two Adults Die in Traffic Accident

Four people, including two children, were killed in a crash on a highway in Chilton County.  The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a news release that 21-year-old Destini M. Davis of Montgomery was killed when her SUV collided with a logging truck around 3:15 Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 82 near Maplesville.  All four people inside the SUV were killed: Davis, 22-year-old Tarlanda Davenport, an infant younger than one and a toddler younger than two.  ALEA Corporal Jess Thornton says none of the victims were wearing seatbelts, and that the children were not properly restrained.  All were pronounced dead at the scene.  The truck driver was injured and taken to a local hospital after the truck overturned.
