Tuskegee Fly In Scheduled for Saturday

Tuskegee, Alabama – Tuskegee pilot, retired Air Force Colonel Roosevelt Lewis, says the 42nd annual Tuskegee Fly-In this weekend will hold a special re-enactment of Eleanor Roosevelt's flight with a Black pilot in 1941. Colonel Lewis says it was the former First Lady's support of Black pilots which led to President Roosevelt's support for Tuskegee's pilot training program.

The event will feature World War II aircraft, food and entertainment. The event is being held by the Negro Airmen International. It will be held this Saturday at Moton Field from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
