Teens in Custody After West Alabama Car Chase

Authorities in west Alabama say two Ohio teenagers are in custody after a car chase ended with police shooting and injuring one of the teens.  Walker County Sheriff Jim Underwood tells a local news outlet authorities responding to a 911 call Wednesday night pursued a vehicle into two nearby counties.  Underwood says the car was occupied by 19-year-old McKinney Alexander and driven by a 17-year-old female, both from Youngstown, Ohio.  Underwood says a Fayette County deputy tried stopping the vehicle, but it rammed his car, and then broke through a roadblock and tried to hit the officer, who fired and struck Alexander.  Officials say the female will be charged as an adult with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer.
