Teen siblings charged in Montgomery homicide

By Teen brothers face capital murder in slaying case

Montgomery, AL – - Two Montgomery teenagers face capital
murder charges in connection with a shooting that took place
Monday.
Montgomery police charged 16-year-old Demaricous Mack and
18-year-old Demarris Mack.
On Monday, officers arrived at 5902 Oakleigh Road at about 12:21
a.m. where they found 20-year-old Xavier Means unresponsive in the
street. Means was taken to Baptist Medical Center South, where he
was pronounced dead at 1:10 a.m.
Police believe the shooting stemmed from a botched robbery of
the victim for illegal narcotics.
Both men are being held at the Montgomery County Detention
Facility without bond.
