Suspect in mechanic's death goes to trial

By Prison escapee goes on trial in mechanic's slaying

Prattville, AL –
- The trial of a Madison County man
accused of the October 2008 slaying of a businessman in Autauga
County has begun.
Justin Tyler Hosch is accused of fatally shooting Joel Willmore.
Authorities are seeking the death penalty in his capital murder
trial, which began Tuesday in Autauga County Circuit Court.
He faces two counts of capital murder because prosecutors allege
Willmore was murdered during the commission of a burglary and
robbery.
Investigators believe Hosch shot Willmore at his auto repair
shop in Pine Level. He's accused of stealing Willmore's 1989
Chevrolet pickup to aid in his escape from Frank Lee Youth Center,
where he had been serving a seven-year sentence for a drug
conviction out of Madison County. Hosch was discovered missing days
earlier from the facility.
