State Motor Unit's First Female Member

The Alabama State Trooper Motor Unit has it first female member.  Trooper Lucy Still made history last week when she joined the Motorcycle Unit that was created in 1935.  Secretary of Law Enforcement Spencer Collier said Still is a symbol of the positive changes made in the state law enforcement.  Still began patrolling Alabama highways last week.  

Bentley Criticizes Speech

Governor Robert Bentley and Congresswoman Martha Roby issued statements last night criticizing President Obama's speech on terrorism.  The Governor said Mr. Obama, "lacks strategy, vision or resolve to stop ISIS."  Martha Roby said the President Obama repeated old talking points and used the address to call for stricter gun control.  

Sylacauga Traffic Fatality 

Alabama State Troopers says a Sylacauga man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Coosa County.  Troopers said 23-year-old Alexander Trent Beard died when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a car on Coosa County 5, approximately 12 miles south of Fayetteville.
