Selma City Schools Superintendent Resigns

   Dr. Angela Mangum has tendered her resignation as Superintendent of Selma City Schools. The school board accepted her letter of resignation. The action comes after Mangum was placed on leave recently after board members discovered she was a finalist for the superintendent position in the town of Pike Road. Selma school officials claim she failed to notify the board of her pursuit for outside employment as stipulated in her contract. Mangum did not land the Pike Road job. The board has begun making plans to find a replacement.
