Montgomery, Alabama –
The Southern Poverty Law Center says membership is down in the second largest Klan group in the country.
This after the SPLC six months ago won a $2.5 million civil judgment against a Kentucky based Imperial Klans of America for severely beating a Latino man who was attending a county fair.
Despite the lower numbers in IKA membership, the number of named Klan groups nationwide increased last year from 155 chapters to 186 chapters.
