Public Radio Music Month/Jazz Appreciation Month

April is Jazz Appreciation Month and Public Radio Music Month. WVAS-FM is bringing you a very special month of programming.

We begin on April 1st with Bill Boyntons' SwingTown and a musical salute to Gil Scott Heron on his birthday.

On April 12th listen to Jazz at Nite for a musical salute to Herbie Hancock on his birthday.

Join WVAS-FM on Friday, April 13th for a special lunchtime concert, broadcast live, featuring Jilla Webb with Kurt McKinney and the E.D. Nixon Elementary School Choir. This concert can be heard live on 90.7 WVAS-FM or online at www.wvasfm.

On April 25th Jazz at Nite presents a musical salute to Ella Fitzgerald on her birthday.
