By 170 Alabama-based soldiers return from duty in Iraq
Montgomery, AL – - The Alabama Army National Guard's 217th
Military Police Company will come home from Iraq Saturday.
The Pratville company has been gone for a year.
The troops, now demobilizing in Fort Dix, N.J., should arrive at
their Prattville armory at 508 U.S. Highway around 2:30 p.m.
The 170-person unit gave military police support to coalition
forces and conducted police transition team operations to train,
mentor and coach Iraqi police during their time in Iraq.
