Montgomery, Alabama – Former Prattville Police officer Christopher Duane Eldridge is out on bond after being arrested on drug charges.

Montgomery Police say they chased Eldridge along Interstate 85, with Eldridge driving the wrong way, before police officers captured him Wednesday evening. Montgomery Police allege Eldredge possessed crack cocaine at the time of his arrest, and officers had to use a Taser on Eldridge during the arrest.

Eldridge is charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.

Officials say Eldridge resigned his position with the Prattville Police Department.
