Pedestrian Killed in Lee County

 A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian killed a man in Lee County Saturday. Authorities say a pickup truck struck the victim on U-S Highway 280 near the 122 mile marker around 2:30am. The pedestrian has been identified as 37 year old Timojin Weaver of Pineville, North Carolina. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the truck remained at the scene. No charges have been filed, though the wreck is still under investigation.
