Oldest Surviving Tuskegee Airman has Died

We have lost another member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen. The oldest surviving member, Willie Rogers, died Friday evening at the age of 101. That’s according to his pastor in Florida. Rogers was part of the 100th Air Engineer Squad and also served with the Red Tail Angels. He was wounded in action during a mission in Italy in 1943. President George W. Bush awarded him the Congressional Gold Medal in 2007.
