Officials Plan Prayer Chain for Schools

Montgomery, Alabama –
As part of the plan to deal with budget shortfalls, the Montgomery County Board of Education voted to close three schools, Hayneville Road, Pintlala and Patterson Elementary.

This weekend, supporters of Hayneville Road and Pintlala schools plan to gather at Pintlala Elementary to form a prayer chain in hopes of keeping the schools open.

Montgomery County Commissioners Elton Dean and Reed Ingram along with the Reverend Gary Burton of the Pintlala Baptist Church are organizing a Saturday prayer chain for the schools.

The three schools are scheduled for closure at the end of the year because of a budget shortfall.
