Dr. Howard Robinson is a Historian and Archivist for the National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African American Culture at Alabama State University who believes the historical aspect of the election will resonate for quite while ,especially in the South.

President Elect Obama did not carry Alabama. Alabamians supported Republican John McCain Tuesday marking the 8th straight win for a GOP in Presidential elections in Alabama. State Representative Alvin Holmes of Montgomery fears racism was in play.
