National Guard Deployment

About 20 members of a specialized logistics team from the Alabama National Guard are preparing to deploy to Afghanistan.  Family, friends and soldiers gathered at the ceremony Thursday to hear from leaders about the mission.  Colonel Charles Bonasera will lead the team that will train and advise Afghan National Security forces.  The soldiers are scheduled to leave from Montgomery in a few weeks, allowing them time to spend with loved ones during the holiday season.
