The Mountaintop comes to WVAS

Tune in to WVAS tonight for a one hour special "The Mountaintop" from L.A. Theater Works. This program is based on a play written by Katori Hill that gives a fictional account of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s last night on earth set entirely in Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel on the eve of his assassination in 1968. The storyline has King making an unlikely friendship with a motel maid as they talk into the early hours of what would be his final day. The play stars Aja Naomi King as Camae and Larry Powell as Dr. King. "The Mountaintop" airs at 6 p.m. on FM 90.7 WVAS and online at www.wvasfm.org
