Montgomery Woman Wins Millions in Claim Against Baptist Health

Montgomery, Alabama – A Montgomery County Jury has awarded 3 million dollars to a woman in a claim against Baptist Medical Center East.

The jury sided with Kay Davis who filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the death of her mother, Lauree Ellison. Ellison died 4 years ago.

Baptist Health officials plan to appeal the verdict.

This is the second time this year that a Montgomery jury has returned a verdict of more than 3 million dollars against Baptist Health. Back in March, a jury ordered Baptist Health to pay a 3.5 MILLION dollar judgment to a woman who was injured while being treated at the facility.
