Montgomery Summer Jobs Program

The city of Montgomery is giving young people a chance to participate in the 2016 Summer Jobs Program.  The pilot program is designed for student's ages 17-21 years old.  City officials selected 100 high school and college students out of 300 applicants.  Councilman Tracy Larkin says the jobs provide exposure and hands on experience for the students.  The jobs range from working at the local library, Montgomery Zoo and even city hall.  City officials say they hope to expand into the private sector next year.
