Dec 1, 2017

A series of recent robberies has been solved with one arrest. Montgomery Police report that 17 year old Isaiah Byers has been charged with four counts of robbery and one count of assault. He was taken into custody November 28 for one of the incidents and was eventually linked to the other holdups. The robberies occurred on October 26, November 16 and November 22, all in the area of Moorcroft Drive. In one of the crimes, an adult male victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

In each of the instances, the victims made arrangements to meet someone offering property for sale online. They were held up when they met in person to complete the transaction. Byers has been placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
