Montgomery Cyber Connection

It's being touted as a rival to Hyundai in its economic significance to the River Region.  The Montgomery Cyber Connection was announced Wednesday by state, county, city and military leaders.  The connection is actually an internet exchange that will operate from the RSA Data Center on Dexter Avenue.  Commander of Air University at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base Lt. General Steven Kwast says the impact of the data hub can't be overestimated.  The internet exchange speed content delivery by storing it in Montgomery rather than pulling it from other hubs outside the state.  This is the first internet exchange in Alabama and only the fourth in the Southeast.
