Local Businessman Presents Scholarships to MPS Students

A local businessman is making the dream of going to college more attainable for students with a generous gift of $12,000 to Montgomery Public Schools.  Dr. Alfred Seawright, owner of the Medical Place in Montgomery, presented 12 MPS graduating seniors with $1,000 in scholarship money during a check presentation Tuesday.  Seven of the 12 recipients plan to major in the health care field and a majority plan to attend Alabama State University.
