Impeachment Proposal in the Legislature

Embattled Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley faces a call for his impeachment two weeks after admitting sexually charged remarks to a female aide.  Republican Rep. Ed Henry introduced the articles of impeachment Tuesday in the Alabama Legislature.  The impeachment effort is considered a longshot endeavor.  House Rules Committee Chairman Mac McCutcheon says the committee will vet the proposal to see whether there are grounds for impeachment.  McCutcheon says he doubted the process would be complete before the legislative session ends next month.  Bentley has called the impeachment effort "political grandstanding."
