Montgomery, Alabama – You may have noticed that its costing a little more to gas up your vehicle these days, but prices are not expected to increase much more over the next few weeks.
The average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline is $1.95 per gallon. That's ten cents more than Alabamians paid one month ago.
AAA Alabama Spokesman Clay Ingram says gas prices are about half of what they were this time last year.
Ingram says demand is up;therefore, gasoline prices have increased over recent days. In fact, Ingram says wholesale prices often fluctuate. Ingram says in one 24 hour period last week, prices decreased eight cents then increased 10 cents without explanation.
