Congressman Artur Davis Runs First Commercials of His Campaign

Birmingham, AL – (AP) - Congressman Artur Davis is targeting the
church crowd and football fans with commercials for his Democratic
campaign for governor.
Davis' campaign said Monday it has started running its first
broadcast commercial for next year's election. The ad is airing on
urban and gospel stations in southeast Alabama. And it's in
particularly heavy play during high school football broadcasts.
The ad is aimed at telling the story of Davis' upbringing in
Montgomery and his plans for addressing high school dropouts and
economic improvement.
Davis' only announced opposition in the Democratic primary is
the state agriculture commissioner, Ron Sparks.
